Shehara completed her medical degree at James Cook University in Far North Queensland, and enjoyed the laidback tropical lifestyle. She returned to her hometown of Canberra, working at The Canberra Hospital which included 18 months of paediatrics. She further developed her interest in paediatrics by completing the Diploma in Child Health, and furthered her interest in public health and preventative medicine by completing a Master of Public Health through the University of Sydney. Shehara moved to Melbourne to commence training in General Practice.
In her spare time Shehara enjoys travel, reading, running and spending time with family, friends and her apricot Cavoodle.
