Dr Holly Kent is a fully registered Clinical Psychologist with a Masters and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. Special interests include adult mental health, for example anxiety, including generalised anxiety (worry), panic attacks, health anxiety, social anxiety/phobia; as well as depression, grief, loss and adjustment. Holly has a specific interest in social anxiety and social phobia which is the focus of her doctoral research.
Holly studied her Bachelor of Science, Masters of Clinical Psychology and Doctor of Philosophy at the University of Western Australia. She has worked in public and private hospital settings and in community clinics in Victoria, Tasmania and Western Australia. She has held tutoring and research positions in the Departments of Psychology and Psychiatry at The University of Western Australia.
She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulatory Agency (AHPRA) and holds membership with the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society and also the Australian Association of Cognitive and Behavioural Therapists.
Holly's training is in evidence-based treatment approaches, including Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindfulness, Solution Focused therapy and Motivational Interviewing.
